Description

The Global Cloud Services Support Engineer will provide comprehensive support for the client's Microsoft Azure environment, ensuring the stability, security, and performance of systems. The role involves performing routine maintenance, system upgrades, configuration, vulnerability remediation, and break/fix services for both on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure. Additionally, the specialist will support various applications, perform remote installations, and assist in optimizing infrastructure operations.
Key tasks include system recovery, platform updates, policy management, and scheduled/emergency server reboots, all while adhering to best practices and service-level agreements.

Key Areas of Responsibility:



  • Microsoft Infrastructure Management: Support and maintain client environments, including Windows Server, SQL, Mongo, and IIS.
  • Systems Maintenance & Security: Perform routine system updates, configuration, and patch management to ensure stability, security, and compliance with OEM best practices.
  • Break/Fix Support: Troubleshoot and resolve hardware/software failures, system recovery, and database issues.
  • Application Support: Install, configure, and support key client applications specifically radiation oncology QA software SunCHECK.
  • Performance Optimization: Analyze and improve infrastructure performance, focusing on critical pain points and implementing best practices.
  • Remote Installations: Facilitate remote deployments of radiation oncology QA software SunCHECK using tools like Beyond Trust
  • System Upgrades: Ensure platforms meet compliance and feature enhancement requirements by managing and executing upgrade processes.
  • Policy Management: Manage, analyze, and update system policies to ensure optimal environment performance.
  • Costing: Review costing and ensure no outliers that are not included in efficient costing model


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:



  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of experience supporting Microsoft environments (Windows Server, Azure, SQL, and IIS).
  • Strong troubleshooting and system administration skills in on-premises and cloud infrastructures
  • Proficiency with Rapid7, Active Directory Group Policies, and security protocols.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator (AZ-104), MCSE) strongly recommended
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and remote work skills
  • ITIL or CompTIA Network+/Security+ certifications are a plus
