The UC Support roles are responsible for the support and improvement of key Trading Floor functions including Power Trading, Gas Trading, Portfolio Management, and Generation Dispatch. Many of these functions rely on an economic optimization model and employ a number of software tools to automate and extend the functionality of the model to efficiently accomplish analysis and reporting, etc. At this level, the UC Support position will be actively engaged in both project management and software development activities. Both roles work together in a team-oriented environment to improve process efficiency and enhance the decision-making capabilities of generation dispatchers as well as front office functions of Power, Coal and Emissions Trading. Additional interfaces include Accounting, Risk Management, IT, and third party software vendor staff.
