MUST LIVE WITHIN 1 HOUR OF OUR EAST LIVER POOL OFFICE

Primary Purpose:

Responsible for the applications supporting operations at the Heritage Thermal Services plant in East Liverpool, OH. Execute enhancements, provide support and perform upgrades to the core applications working closely with plant management and the extended Heritage IT team.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:



  • Ensure ARTS and related applications continue to meet the business need.
  • Create and support application code, database procedures and triggers
  • Create application functionality based on user requests and business needs
  • Devise and execute unit, integration, and user tests.
  • Perform upgrades to the application environment.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in source code.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot problems.
  • Assist with support for application issues.
  • Write complex queries for reports

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, or equivalent experience

Experience:



  • 4+ years of solid programming experience using Genero 4J/VisualBasic/C#/.Net
  • 4+ years relational database experience required, Informix preferred, Oracle or SQL
  • Network admin, DBA experience a plus, but not required.


Knowledge and Abilities:



  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adhere to deadlines with shifting priorities.
  • Excellent problem resolution, judgement, and decision making skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to both lead and work within a team environment.
