The Sales Development Manager is responsible for the sale of the organization's services, solutions and products. This role will have a strong understanding of the sales process and excel at generating leads, building relationships, and closing contracts. The sales development manager is agile, quick to learn the company's products and how they benefit the customer while showcasing offerings in a compelling way.
The sales development manager is highly relational and will utilize consultative sales strategies to educate and inform potential customers on the company's products & services. The sales development manager will work closely with the Director of Business Development and operations team to meet and exceed customer and sales priorities. The sales development manager will attend networking events and trade shows as assigned.
The position will have an annual salary plus an incentive compensation plan.
As a Sales Development Manager, you will need the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's or equivalent degree/experience.
- Minimum of three (3) years' experience in sales in long-term care/senior living marketplace.
- Proven success rate at levels above sales quota.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with sales management software and CRM.
- Strong ability to balance persuasion with professionalism.
- Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software. (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Must have exceptional written and verbal skills.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
- Must be able to interact and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to multitask and respond to requests.
- Perform other related duties, as assigned.
- Must be able to operate a motor vehicle, maintain a current driver's license, and provide proof of auto insurance indicating coverage for uninsured motorist.
- Travel is required (up to 80%)
- Healthcare sales experience preferred.
