SSOE is looking to hire an Structural Engineer to join a team of junior and senior structural engineers in the design of state-of-the-art industrial and manufacturing facilities for the world's leading companies.



Responsibilities

The following duties are typical of the position but are not all encompassing. Responsibilities include those required to deliver quality service on schedule and within budget in a team environment.

    Assignments are selected to develop professional work knowledge and abilities using prescribed methods and standard techniques.
  • Applies academic knowledge and training attained in the use of various building materials and building systems.
  • Performs a variety of routine engineering tasks requiring basic application of engineering fundamentals with increasing responsibility based on performance.
  • Works under close supervision; receives specific and detailed instructions as to required tasks and results expected with limited opportunity to exercise judgment.
  • Drafts interpretation of own design into completed working drawings.
  • May be assisted by a designer, but usually assumes no responsibility for direction of others.
  • Generally works under the direction of a supervisor.
  • Performs design work using REVIT.
  • Develops basic knowledge of the discipline's codes.
  • Travel required.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering, which qualifies for licensure in the state of practice, is required.
  • Valid driver's license required. May be waived for international assignments.
  • Salary Range: $62,000-$72,000/year depending on location, education, experience, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
