Groundskeeping & Light Maintenance (Part Time)

Groundskeeping & light maintenance is one of the most important jobs for maintaining community housing properties in a safe, attractive, and comfortable condition for our residents. Gorman & Company is looking for a part time Groundskeeping & Light Maintenance Technician who is committed to providing first class groundskeeping and light maintenance services as part of a collaborative maintenance team at one of our residential properties in Little Rock, AR. This position is 25 hours per week.

A day in the life of a Groundskeeping & Light Maintenance Technician:


  • Work with our maintenance team to perform grounds maintenance such as lawn services, maintaining shrubs and gardens, spraying insecticides and clean-up.
  • Outdoor building maintenance - painting, light bulbs, install and/or maintain fences, and grounds clean up.
  • Assist outside contractors and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  • Assist in supplies inventory control and upkeep of all ground's equipment.
  • Maintains watering and drainage systems.
  • Attends all instructional classes conducted by management.


What do I need to qualify to be a Groundskeeping & Light Maintenance Technician?


  • Must have your own vehicle and a valid driver's license.
  • Previous groundskeeping / landscaping / maintenance experience required.
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude with ability to operate lawn equipment.
  • Must be able to read work orders / service requests.
  • Good safety habits.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people.
  • Dependability and regular attendance.
