We are looking for capable, innovative, and enthusiastic achievers to join our team and grow with us. We are currently seeking an AD/TS Chemist for our site in Allentown, PA.

What you will do:

The AD/TS Chemist will provide technical support to our business development efforts for our resins product line (primarily VINNOL for solvent borne coatings and heat seal lacquers initially). This includes creating an in-depth assessment of customers and potential and working closely with sales and global technical support to identify and manage opportunities. This role will also learn the intricacies of our overall resins business (VINNOL, VINNAPAS, and VINNEX) including pricing, logistics, service, etc. The AD/TS Chemist will also serve to support our BD and AD/TS efforts in waterborne coatings.




  • Identify, develop, and manage opportunities for VINNOL resins in solvent borne industrial coatings and heat seal lacquer applications.
  • Work with customer team (as defined in position summary) to develop and close opportunities that will contribute to future growth and market development. Responsible for driving closure of opportunities.
  • Determine if there are technical capabilities that we can add within Allentown to best support these opportunities.
  • Provide industry knowledge and technical support for waterborne coatings business development initiatives.



What we need from you:



  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry or a related technical field
  • 20+ years of relevant experience
  • Willing to travel 30-40%
  • Individual should have commercial experience in chemical sales, marketing, or business development.
  • Individual must have strong organization, communication, and follow up skills
  • Interest in learning new technology (chemical and electronic literacy) and influence skills to sell internally as well as at the customer level.
  • Ability to identify and close new opportunities.
  • Individual should be proficient in standard MS software (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Must be able to learn new customer relationship management (Salesforce.com) technology and business reporting technology (SAP/Business Objects).
  • Individual must be versed in solvent borne industrial coatings formulations.
  • Individual must have background in business development.
