Title: Director, Workday Systems and People Analytics

What You Will Do

The PX Technology and Analytics Leader is responsible for driving the vision, execution, and support of the People Experience (PX) Technology and People Analytics teams, with a strong emphasis on Workday expertise. This role will serve as the strategic leader and point of escalation for Workday, ensuring its effective administration, security, and optimization across all modules. The PX Technology team manages Workday HCM, Workday Recruiting, Eightfold, Vendor Management System (Magnit), Zendesk, and other platforms, ensuring they meet the organization's evolving needs, security, and integration requirements. The People Analytics team provides actionable insights through dashboards, advanced analytics, and workforce planning strategies that inform and shape the PX strategy.

The ideal candidate will bring deep Workday expertise, experience leading Workday technology security, audits, controls, and analytics, and a history of developing workforce planning strategies and modern analytics capabilities. Having led a People Analytics function is a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities

Workday Leadership & System Ownership:

  • Strategic Workday Leadership: Serve as the Workday strategic leader, owning the roadmap for all modules including HCM, Recruiting, Absence, Compensation, and Advanced Analytics. Act as the primary point of escalation for system issues and strategic decisions.

  • Workday Security & Controls: Oversee Workday security configurations, ensuring robust data security, compliance with global regulations, and regular audits to maintain system integrity.

  • System Optimization: Drive system improvements and scalability through Workday enhancements, ensuring alignment with business needs and future growth. Partner with IT and PX stakeholders to integrate new features and functionality effectively.

  • Workday Analytics Expertise: Leverage Workday Analytics (Prism, Discovery Boards, and Dashboards) to provide actionable insights. Lead the expansion of Workday's analytics capabilities to modernize workforce planning and drive informed decision-making.

  • Audits & Compliance: Establish and maintain comprehensive audit controls for Workday processes, ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations and internal standards.

Technology Leadership & Management:

  • PX Technology Strategy & Roadmap: Develop and maintain a strategic roadmap for PX technology platforms, ensuring Workday and other systems align with company goals and employee experience priorities. Oversee systems like Workday HCM, Recruiting, Eightfold, Magnit, Zendesk, and Happeo to deliver seamless user experiences.

  • System Administration & Integrations: Ensure effective administration, configuration, and integration of PX systems. Proactively identify and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and user experience.

  • Project Management & Delivery: Lead cross-functional PX technology projects, managing resources, timelines, and deliverables to ensure successful execution. Collaborate with the Product Portfolio Office (PPO) to align projects with broader PX goals.

Analytics Leadership & Data-Driven Insights:

  • People Analytics & Dashboard Management: Guide the People Analytics team to provide real-time insights using DOMO, Workday dashboards, and quarterly business reviews (QBR), supporting data-driven decisions.

  • Workforce Planning & Modern Analytics: Lead the development of workforce planning strategies, utilizing advanced analytics tools to anticipate business needs and provide forward-looking insights.

  • Data Integrity & Governance: Establish and uphold data integrity standards across Workday and other PX systems. Develop governance policies in collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and security.

  • Stakeholder Partnership & Reporting: Partner with PX and business leaders to identify data needs, create actionable dashboards, and deliver custom reports. Present insights clearly to inform decision-making and strategy development.

What Skills & Experience You Should Bring

  • Workday Expertise:

    • 10+ years of experience in HR technology and analytics, with a track record of managing PX/HR systems in a complex, global organization.

    • 5+ years of experience leading Workday HCM & Workday Recruiting teams.

    • Workday certifications in HCM, Advanced Compensation, Reporting, or other relevant areas.

    • 3+ years of experience with Workday Analytics, including Prism, Discovery Boards, or custom dashboards.

  • Technical & Analytics Proficiency:

    • Advanced experience with data analytics tools, ideally DOMO, Workday Analytics, and other platforms.

    • Proven expertise in creating dashboards and reports that translate data into actionable insights.

  • Leadership & Project Management:

    • Demonstrated success managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.

    • Strong team leadership, with a focus on fostering cross-functional partnerships and delivering innovative solutions.

  • Workforce Planning & Innovation:

    • Experience developing workforce planning strategies, integrating predictive analytics, and leveraging modern analytics techniques.

  • Audits & Compliance:

    • Experience implementing audit controls and ensuring compliance with privacy and data security regulations.
