Network SME

Job responsibilities:

• Network Infrastructure Management: Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware and software to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Security Management: Implement and manage network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems, to protect data and network integrity.
• Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Continuously monitor network performance, identify issues, and troubleshoot problems to minimize downtime and ensure seamless operations.
• Capacity Planning: Analyze network usage and plan for future capacity needs to ensure the network can handle growth and increased demand.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, changes, and incidents, and generate regular reports for management review.
• Collaboration and Support: Work closely with other IT teams and departments to support their network needs and ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
• Firewall Management: Proficiency in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting firewall systems to ensure network security and compliance with organizational policies.
• Switching: Expertise in managing and optimizing network switches to ensure efficient data flow and connectivity within the data center.
• Palo Alto: Experience with Palo Alto Networks' security platforms, including configuration, management, and monitoring to protect against cyber threats.
• Zscaler: Knowledge of Zscaler's cloud security solutions, including deployment and management to secure internet traffic and ensure safe access to cloud applications.
• SD-WAN: Familiarity with Software-Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) technologies to enhance network performance, reliability, and flexibility.
• LAN: Strong understanding of Local Area Network (LAN) design, implementation, and maintenance to support seamless communication within the data center.
• Access Point Management: Ability to manage and optimize wireless access points to ensure robust and reliable wireless connectivity for users and devices.

The annual salary for this position is between [$73,350] - [$116,000] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and is subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
