Work Schedule:

Onsite - Buffalo, NY

Our Military Aircraft Group is looking for a Sr. Hydraulic Calibration Technician to join their team. This role will report directly to the Metrology Supervisor and have an onsite role in East Aurora, NY

To be considered for this role, here's what you'll need to bring with you:

  • High School diploma or GED preferred. Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • A valid Drivers License

As a Sr. Hydraulic Calibration Technician, you will:

  • Deliver on day-to-day objectives. May contribute to projects through the provision of technical expertise.
  • Plan, organize, and complete hydraulic calibration and maintenance/repair activities and assist in identifying, resolving, or escalating issues related to hydraulic calibrated hardware and test equipment.
  • Collaborate with Mechanical and Electrical Technicians to complete calibrations.
  • Interact with vendors regarding the processing of M&TE calibrations within the calibration tracking software.
  • Work under limited supervision and provide guidance, coaching, and training to other employees within the job area.
  • Help to resolve technical issues with vendors and/or contracted services or escalate, when necessary.
  • Ensure the maintenance of calibration records and traceability to the National Bureau of Standards as well as compliance to applicable Military Standards and specifications.
  • Support internal, regulatory, registrar and customer audits.
  • Participate in root cause investigation and corrective action implementation of immediate and permanent corrective actions to prevent a recurrence.
  • Provide recommendations for updating existing calibration test procedures and data sheets. This may include working directly with a Calibration Engineer to complete an initial calibration to establish acceptable standards and methods to be followed in subsequent calibrations.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities to assist in the calibration of equipment in an orderly, efficient, and safe manner.
  • Operate company vehicles or handcarts for transporting equipment and performing on-site calibration and/or maintenance in all weather conditions.

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $24.00-$35.00 Hourly

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
