Basic Function

HF Sinclair Midstream is seeking a Pipeline Scheduler. This position is open to Artesia, NM or Dallas, TX. This position conducts intermediate level planning, scheduling and transportation assignments related to assigned facility under limited supervision.

Job Duties

(functions considered essential as defined by ADA)



  • Schedules product movements through company operated pipeline and/or terminal systems and ensures company objectives are met
  • Maintains close contacts with shippers and customers
  • Works in conjunction with more senior Scheduler(s) to ensure shipper and customer accounting and reporting requirements are met
  • Works independently to schedule product movement through pipeline systems to minimize shutdowns while maximizing product line capacity
  • Collaborates daily with regional field personnel, control center operations, SCADA operations, etc. to ensure product movement schedules provide maximum throughput capability through safe, efficient, reliable operations.
  • Collaborates with regional maintenance planners to ensure pipeline schedules account and forecast for required maintenance, required regulatory tasks, and any anticipated pipeline outages.
  • Determines and sets scheduling plans several weeks in advance through contact with shippers using knowledge of pipeline and terminal requirements
  • Revises daily schedule as necessary to allow for unforeseen events
  • Cross train, support, and backup team members as necessary for continuity.
  • This position requires availability on holidays, nights, and weekends in the event any issues arise


Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from timeto time in their sole and complete discretion.

Experience

A minimum of three years of combined experience in scheduling and inventory management in an operating environment is required.

Education Level

A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics concentration or equivalent work experience (in lieu of a four year Degree) is required.

PREFERRED EDUCATION:

APICS Certification or equivalent supply chain certification is preferred.

Required Skills

Ability to network and effectively communicate with others, both written and verbal communication. Working knowledge of Microsoft products. Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment and integrate new processes and assets quickly and efficiently; self motivated and make quick decisions. Intermediate reading and writing skills, ability to perform intermediate mathematical calculations.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

Depending on location: MRP, DRP, & ERP (Manufacturing, Distribution & Enterprise Resource Planning), experience with SAP is preferred.

Work Conditions

Office based, with up to 20% travel by land and air required. Petroleum refinery, warehouse/plant environment including but not limited to chemicals, pressure vessels, tanks, and routing equipment. Subject to all weather and varying road conditions.

Physical Requirements

Job conditions require sitting, talking or hearing, making visual inspections, making precise hand and finger movements, reaching or grasping, lifting and/or carrying up to 10lbs, ability to operate and drive all assigned company vehicles at company standard insurance rates is essential, valid state driver's license and proof of insurance required, perceiving color differences. Job conditions may require standing, and walking.
