Requirements

    Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering or other relevant discipline
  • 5-8 years' of successful experience in all aspects of contracting for engineering and technical support services in a US Government contracting environment including significant relevant experience in Department of Defense contracts
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are critical to interface well with challenging customers (internal and external) and work in a fast-paced environment with short "turn around" times and be able to multi-task
  • Ability to manage cradle to-grave contracts processes
  • Experience evaluating RFPs for contract development requirements
  • Ability to manage contracts development, review meetings, and integrate input from diverse sources
  • Ability to resolve complex contracts and pricing issues with minimal supervision
  • Competent in the understanding and application of Government Procurement process including solid knowledge of FAR/DFARS and related contractual disciplines
  • Has the potential and/or demonstrated ability to readily manage rapidly shifting work priorities and be a significant contributor to the Business Unit
  • Strong financial acumen with advanced skills in Excel

Description

  • Preparation of proposals, including RFP/RFQ analysis, pricing, contract negotiations, and administration of contracting activities and interaction with customers in accordance with company policies and procedures, applicable laws, customer requirements, and sound business judgment
  • Collaborate closely with Operations to establish a competitive and profitable pricing in proposals
  • Reviews and analyzes contract documents to determine contractual obligations
  • Prepares and disseminates information regarding contract status, compliance, modifications, deviations, negotiations and completion or termination
  • Responds to complex inquiries regarding contract obligations and revisions
  • Acts as contract liaison between the company and customers/vendors, including participation in pre-contract discussions, contract negotiations and contract changes, resolving payment issues, and contract close-out
  • Internal activities include proposal support of new opportunities, logging new contracts, and working with customers and finance to resolve billing issues
  • May provide mentoring to lower level employees
