BGS is seeking an experienced and customer-orientated scientist or engineer with experience in the clean-tech industry at the startup and/or high-volume manufacturing level to serve as a technical advisor for the Solar Energy Technology Office's (SETO) Manufacturing and Competitiveness Team. The Manufacturing and Competitiveness Team supports entrepreneurs and companies in developing new solar technologies that can grow and diversify the U.S. solar industry, increase U.S. competitiveness in solar energy manufacturing, and enable solar energy with storage to support the reliability, resilience, and security of the electric grid. The selected candidate will interface with SETO staff, U.S. industry, and research and development organizations, including national labs and academia, to help companies with promising solar technologies survive the funding gaps that often emerge in the development cycle of new technologies. Starting compensation for this role typically salary ranges between $120,000 and $150,000 annually is commensurate with experience relative to the position and may vary based on candidate geographical location.
