Job Title: Intermediate Network Administrator / Engineer, Level II

Role & Responsibilities:



  • The contractor shall provide the following IT support and service to SAF/SA's networks:
  • The contractor shall maintain a 98% network availability, on a monthly basis, for all SAF/SA Networks (the 2% unavailable time includes all planned outages for Preventative Maintenance. The contractor shall report all down time in the Monthly Status Report, to include the reason for the down time, actual time dawn, actual time to repair, resolution and impact on Studies and Analysis that are in process.


Network Switches:



  • The contractor shall reconfigure when necessary.
  • The contractor shall activate and de-activate ports, as necessary, to provide the proper connectivity to the network.
  • The Contractor shall provide access to data storage information for outside agency users as directed by the government representative. The government representative will also notify the contractor when the access is no longer required and shall be removed.
  • Continual monitoring of servers to ensure a stable environment and server availability.
  • Adding users accounts, to include setting group and file permissions.
  • Create, manage, troubleshoot user accounts, and network access issues.
  • Manage, install, and troubleshoot all network equipment to include printers and scanners, etc.
  • Manage group policy settings.
  • Performs daily backups for all servers to include Operations System files and critical files to ensure data recoverability.
  • Install required software programs using System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) to all servers providing standardization of software programs to the servers.
  • Configure and maintain the Storage Area Network (SAN) environments.
  • Administer and maintain the Windows Software Update Server (WSUS) used for the distribution of software updates and hotfixes released by Microsoft to ensure a secure environment.
  • Manage SAF/SA's VMWare environment ensuring that virtual servers and environment is kept patched as needed.
  • Administer and install the required Server Certificates mandated by the Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Team.
