MARKET CONTROLLER JOB SUMMARY:

Here at BridgePoint, the Market Controller assists the Market CFO and both National Harborside and Capitol Hill Hospital CEOs in the management of the fiscal services departments, including the development, interpretation, coordination, and administration of the hospital's policies on finance, accounting, insurance, financial/accounting systems, internal controls, and auditing. Maintains departmental reports and records, and collects statistical data for administrative and regulatory purposes. Coordinates the functions of reimbursements, budget, patient accounting, medical records, admissions and general accounting, which includes general ledger accounting, accounts payable, payroll and cashiering. Prepares report outlining both hospital's financial position in all areas of assets, liabilities, income and expense, based on past, present, and planned future operations.

Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may substitute for education requirements.

• Minimum of 10 years of accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a hospital or healthcare setting.
• Prior leadership experience
• Experience in general ledger accounting, financial statement preparation, budgeting, and managing an accounts payable department.
• Familiarity with capital budgeting, fixed asset management, treasury management, and tax compliance is highly desirable
