Overview The Vice President is seeking a motivated individual to join the Customer Operations team. The Customer Operations team is comprised of four business units: New Business, Customer Assistance, Customer Meter Operations and Customer Energy Solutions. These business units work closely to ensure that we provide the best Customer Experience. As part of the Customer Operation team the Executive Assistant will be working with business organizations, the IT organization, vendors, customers, other executives and political officials. The individual will support the Vice President in an administrative role in the planning, controlling, and direction of the organizational activities. The candidate must be highly organized and have a strong customer focus, along with excellent business and analytical abilities. Strong communication, problem solving, and interpersonal skills are also a must.

- Ensure implementation of Company safety, health and environmental programs for employees whose work is directed. Ensures that safe work practices are followed and the environment is fully protected in accordance with Company policy and governmental regulations.

- Must be detail oriented; able to anticipate Vice President needs and act on them.
- Organize files and notes into OneNote or similar, maintaining a repository in SharePoint or similar.
- Have an excellent electronic tracking mechanism to allow for ease of status updates.
- Must be technically savvy.
- Screen phone, take messages and set up action items.
- Schedule meetings and maintain calendar; able to look at issues and help to set agendas.
- Able to plan meetings, events, book travel and conferences.
- Compile and submit expense reports.
- Support regular report and PowerPoint presentation development.
- Support budget planning in Excel.
- Ensure compliance to applicable Company and regulatory policies and rules.
- Review staffing requirements and job applications as necessary.
- Able to conduct research on management, IT, and other topics of interest, and summarize them for executive consumption.
- Identify issues, develop alternatives, and provide recommendations.
- Work independently and provide guidance to other employees and contractors. Share information readily and actively seek input from team members to facilitate quick resolution of issues. Demonstrate commitment, integrity, and serve as a role model for team members.
- Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.
Qualifications
Required Education/Experience
- High School Diploma/GED and 8 years relevant experience in an executive support role or
- Associate's Degree and 5 years relevant experience in an executive support role
Preferred Education/Experience
- Bachelor's Degree or Professional certification
Relevant Work Experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Share point and PowerPoint; OneNote is a plus. Required
- Ability to learn and apply new administrative/communications software. Required

Additional Physical Demands
- Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
- Must be able and willing to travel within Consolidated Edison and Orange and Rockland service territories as needed.
- Must be able to address other organization support tasks as required.
- Must be able and willing to travel for out of town project meetings and business conferences as needed.
- Must be able to participate in the Companys emergency management processes and storm plans as required.
