Department:INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT Organizational Unit:Information Systems (50000035) Position Type:Permanent Full Time/Part Time:Full Time Open Until Filled. $2,890.31 to $3,179.34 biweekly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Government Center/Viera. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Performs skilled professional work on multiple large-scaled projects. The County is in the process of upgrading their GIS Enterprise Environments from 10.9.1 to an 11 version, this will require all scripts to be converted from Python 2.7 to 3 and ArcPy function calls and syntax to be updated. A successful candidate will be familiar with Python Library, Automation Scripts (logs and failsafe emails), and Developing map applications/dashboards. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a closely related field PLUS three (3) to five (5) years of experience in systems analysis and programming, networking, systems administration, or Geographic Information Systems (GIS); OR Bachelor's degree in a relative computer-related field PLUS two (2) years of experience as a Brevard County Senior Systems Analyst, Senior Systems Administrator, GIS Analyst III, or Senior Network Administrator PLUS a current performance evaluation score of 4.0 or higher PLUS successful completion of all of the classes for Phase I of the Brevard County Employee Development Program and receive a passing score on the phase examination. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have experience with the following: Geographic Information Systems (GIS) concepts and best practices; ArcGIS Enterprise Infrastructure maintaining and troubleshooting (Setup/Upgrade, Portal, GIS Server, Data Store, Web Adaptor/Server, Image Server, SQL Server); ArcGIS Online & Enterprise Portal Web Application and Web Experience configuration; ArcSDE/Multi-Versioned Database (Setup, Configure, Maintain, Troubleshooting); Python programming and ArcPy experience (writing, troubleshooting, testing, integration); Creating technical documentation utilizing excellent written and verbal skills and the ability to conduct effective communication among peers. Must have familiarity with Python Library, Automation scripts (logs and failsafe emails) and Developing map applications/dashboards. ArcGIS Developer (Web AppBuilder or Web Experience) experience is preferred. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
