Job Purpose The ECS III will be responsible for Water Program compliance at NASA Johnson Space Center (JSC), a program which includes drinking water, storm water, and wastewater compliance with federal, state, local, and NASA requirements and regulations. The Water Program Compliance Lead requires experience, and ideally expertise, with the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES), Texas Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (TPDES), and federal and state Public Water System/potable water compliance. The position includes providing technical guidance and support to current and proposed operations, providing consultation to customers on rule applicability analysis, resolving and mitigating compliance issues, and developing and improving sustainable compliance programs. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in environmental science or related field Experience:
Certification: Other A TCEQ Class D Water License to conduct and sign for drinking water sampling is preferred, but not required. Must be eligible for unescorted access to a federal facility, which normally requires (a) U.S. citizenship or permanent residency (green card), and (b) no felony convictions.
