NASCAR seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Coordinator, Event Operations based in our Daytona Beach, Florida office.

This person is responsible overseeing all operational planning and execution of Event Experience activations during event weekend for the Event Experience team. Their primary focus will be overall operations of Pre-Race Ceremonies and Victory Lane celebrations. They also will oversee programing & operations of the infield experiences at their assigned tracks throughout the season. Additionally, they will assist the Special Events team with planning and execution of all additional fan activations and events throughout the weekend such as concerts, camping activations and other special fan events. This person must be able to think strategically and creatively, while balancing multiple events throughout the season & collaborating with internal & external stakeholders, including our teammates at the track level.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Assist the cross-functional team in the ideation, planning and execution of the programming strategy for all added-value and revenue-based fan programming and content efforts at their team's events including but not limited to fan zones, infield experiences, camping activations and event production;
  • Manage logistics & operations for pre-race ceremonies and post-race celebrations, including:
  • Collaborate and executing the vision of each respective track & track teammates;
  • Developing maps and operations schedules to set-up, execute and breakdown Pre-Race;
  • Serve as the lead for the driver intro parade lap;
  • Build relationships and communicate effectively with key industry stakeholders such as track operations, Series Operations, competition, and security;
  • Develop and implement an activation strategy for the infield experiences at their respective venues including creating innovative activations, programming Driver Q&As, DJs and overall operations of the space;
  • Assist in the planning, set-up and execution for all operations-based fan events such as but not limited to autograph sessions, Hauler Parades, Pedal Parties;
  • Assist the Event Experience special events teammate in the planning and execution of at-track fan events, camper programming;
  • Assist Track Marketing & Group Sales to execute Kids VIP, Group Sales events and ticket packages
  • Build strong working relationships and encourage collaboration with all regional and central departments, especially the central event experience team, and key external stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of the fan experience during all events;

Required skills/experience:

  • College degree, preferably in related business field, i.e. Marketing, Sports Management
  • Minimum 1-3 years sports & event experience required
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and is able to take a project from start to finish
  • Strong ability to think strategically, creatively and quickly
  • Detail-oriented and organized with outstanding communication skills
  • Ability to work through on-site event logistics and think operationally is a must
  • True team player and collaborator
  • Ability to coordinate and deliver multiple projects at once within strict deadlines
  • Must be able to work extended hours and event weekends
  • 40% travel required
  • Valid driver's license
