Description This is a benefited, full time position working 12-hour night shifts on varied days. Hours are generally 6:30pm-7am. Rotating holidays and weekends required. What you'll do: Responsibility for monitoring patients on cardiac and/or SPO2 (continuous oxygen saturation) via telemetry equipment. Monitoring patients when transporting to and from procedures/units. Interpreting cardiac rhythms/SPO2 and reports changes to the RN. Ability to prioritize notification to the RN based on emergent patient care needs. Identifying and maintaining integrity of the telemetry system and reports all malfunctions and needed adjustments. Responsibility for printing telemetry strips and documenting per unit standards. Responsibility for placing patient on cardiac/SPO2 monitor, change batteries, and set up leads. Performing clerical and other duties as requested per unit standard. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Must successfully complete the Scripps Health EKG Examination during interview process American Heart Association BLS for Health Care Providers Preferred Qualifications: Completion of formal telemetry training which may include a class or online course OR electrocardiogram (EKG) OR Arrhythmia Certification course OR completion of a Paramedic, Cardio-Vascular, EMT, MD, or RN Program, OR other cardiac related programs 6 months of Cardiac Monitoring experience preferred Basic Arrhythmia Certification EKG certification Job : Pt Care Technical Primary Location : Central San Diego County-LA JOLLA-SCRIPPS MEMORIAL HOSPITAL LA JOLLA Work Locations : SCRIPPS MEMORIAL HOSPITAL LA JOLLA 9888 GENESEE AVE LA JOLLA 92037 Organization : Scripps La Jolla Hospital Job Posting : Nov 20, 2024, 4:13:10 PM Benefit Status : FT - FULL-TIME WITH BENEFITS Minimum Rate (USD) : 23.92 - Maximum Rate (USD) : 30.83 In compliance with the California Pay Transparency Act, Scripps Health posts the pay range for all jobs.
