The Position
The Opportunity Work shift: 10 hours, second shift, including one weekend day In this dynamic role, you'll contribute to the production of cutting-edge biotherapeutic medicines through interaction with advanced automated production systems in a cGMP manufacturing environment, ensuring areas are consistently inspection-ready. Responsibilities include:
- You will operate production equipment including fermenters, centrifuges, protein purification units, fixed tank systems, filtration systems, and large-scale column chromatography systems, overseeing processes from cell culture growth through purification, formulation, freeze-thaw, and transfer.
- You will manage small-scale cell culture operations, including setup, maintenance of fermenters, inoculation, spinner seed cultures, and preparation of media and buffers.
- You will adhere strictly to safety, cGMP, SOPs, and manufacturing documentation standards.
- You will assemble, prepare, and operate equipment, emphasizing accurate and detailed documentation.
- You will manage systems for cleaning and sterilizing tanks and filtration equipment.
- You will collaborate effectively within a diverse team, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
- You will support manufacturing by identifying and resolving operational challenges and applying your knowledge of biopharmaceutical technology. knowledge.
Who you are
- You have a degree in Life Sciences or Engineering and 1 year related experience, or an Associate degree and 3 years experience, or High school and 5 years experience.
- You are able to successfully pass all job-related tests and certifications required for working in a cGMP, quality environment including but not limited to inspections and GMP requirements to perform essential functions of the job
Other requirements
- You are able to lift 25 lbs and stand for an extended period of time.
- You are able to climb upwards of 6 flights of stairs a day to maneuver within the manufacturing facility
- You must pass a vision acuity and color discrimination test
- The environment requires that gowning in the form of hospital scrubs, bunny suits, gloves, and steel-toe boots be worn. Also, no makeup or jewelry can be worn when working in a clean room environment. May work with hazardous materials and chemicals..
Relocation benefits are not available for this job posting. The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location for this position of Oceanside, CA is $40,300- $74,900. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, level, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
