Senior Scrum Master

Cognizant's Digital Engineering practice is seeking highly-qualified Scrum Masters who have experience executing scrum methodologies towards digital transformation projects. This role requires proven, practical experience with Agile techniques and approaches to guide, support and improve product teams. You will collaborate intensively with your team members and Product Owners. You will also interact with Cognizant clients to mentor, consult, and assist them in making appropriate process decisions and tackle any blocking points.

Location: Louisville - KY USA or Remote on USA.

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Owning the relevant modern development events with the Cognizant and the client's Product and Technical teams.
  • Partnering and supporting the product owner to guide the POD or team to success and increase value of the product
  • Being the mentor and driver of the requisite ALM tool for the POD or team
  • Guiding the team from legacy process to a Modern Development Process, Lean attitude, behavior and framework for building value
  • Optimizing how the different roles interact with each other to increase efficiency

Qualifications:

  • STEM (Preferred) BS degree or equivalent experience required
  • 8+ years' experience with at least 3 years development experience in Agile Projects or Product development work
  • Agile Certifications such as CSM or PSM or SAFe SM
  • Understanding of all elements of the software development process, including planning, development, requirements management, CM, quality assurance, and release management with industry standard frameworks like Scrum, Kanban and XP.
  • Experience crafting and deploying software within the limits of performance guidelines
  • Experience crafting and executing plans, meeting deadlines and operating under tight time constraints.
  • Experience with continuous integration and test-driven development/design practices.
  • Experience with Agile Lifecycle management tools.
  • Experience with test automation techniques and tools.
  • Solid interpersonal skills - can establish good relationships and communicate well with teams.
  • Ability to prioritize, moderate and demonstrate added Agile principles and practices to a team.
  • Strong leadership and organization skills with superb communication (written and verbal), time management, product planning, people and team building skills.
  • Ability to effectively facilitate discussions and alternatives or different approaches.
  • Ability to bring disclosure and transparency to the business grow business trust.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $81,337 to 141,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
