Clinic Nurse Supervisor- Plano East

Texas Oncology is looking for a Nursing Supervisor (RN) to join our team! This position will support the Plano East location. This is a full-time Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm position with no weekends, call, or major holidays.

What does the Nursing Supervisor (RN) do?

The Nurse Supervisor Coordinates all activities related to nursing functions and patient care, within budgetary constraints. Adheres to national and company standards and guidelines for specialty regulations. Supervises nursng staff that provides professional nursing care to patients. Must recognize physical, psychological, and spriritual aspects of care. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

The essential duties and responsibilities:

• Clinical Oversight

• Oversees the clinical operations for all nursing clinical support activities

• Ensures adequate staffing/FTEs for assigned clinics.

• Maintains effective nursing staff coverage and operating costs for the practice and/or satellites within budgetary parameters.

• Ensures clinical operations and practice consistent with organizational objectives
  • Monitors and evaluates patient satisfaction and quality assurance measures
• Staff Development

• Coordinates, implements, and assists with staff training, in-services, and internal developmental programs for nursing staff.

• Assists with annual performance evaluations for nursing department staff.

• Serves as mentor/preceptor and provides day to day guidance to less experienced nurses.

• Other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate for the Nursing Supervisor (RN) will have the following background and experience:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN or MSN preferred.

• RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state.

• Minimum 5 years actively practicing as a registered nurse.

• 1-3 years of leadership experience.

• OCN certification preferred.

• Current CPR certification required.
