What you'll do:



  • Manage an agile team of traders while still contributing to larger client and agency objectives, trying to exemplify the player-coach position
  • Spearhead strategy development to ensure clients stay competitive in key areas including first-party data management and activation, CTV consolidation and retail measurement.
  • Understand margin drivers and how to increase adoption across your book of business where it makes sense for clients
  • Become an internal Subject Matter Expert and shore your point of view with the wider trading team on topics ranging from best practices to test and learn results
  • Contribute to the product process, providing detailed feedback to product managers
  • Be comfortable working across multiple teams including Technical Support, Solutions Architects, Account Management, Business Development and Product.
  • Strong ability to convey complex topics to senior stakeholders
  • Spearhead strategy development to ensure clients stay competitive in key areas including first-party data management and activation, CTV consolidation and retail measurement.
  • Lead data-driven conversations utilizing TTD platform and custom reporting to provide insights and tell client relevant stories to provide a full picture of advertising's impact on business results.
  • Consult with clients on their campaign goals and strategies to ensure they are maximizing the value TTD's platform provides
  • Operate as a power user of TTD's UI and empower clients to also become power users to most effectively plan, execute, optimize and build on successful advertising campaigns.
  • Collaborate with Account Management and Sales Executives to educate your clients, grow your portfolio of business and ensure buyers are up-to-date on TTD's constantly evolving suite of products and solutions
  • Build and own key relationships with client planning, trading and analytical teams.
  • Collaborate with engineers, data scientists and product managers to solve complex technical problems including cross-platform frequency analysis, consumer journey visualizations and API solutions.
  • Troubleshoot advanced technical problems including performance issues, measurement discrepancies and constrained targeting.


Who you are:



  • 5+ years of working experience and 2+ years of experience in managerial positions.
  • Previous DSP experience highly recommended, with an emphasis on understanding key ways to optimize campaigns and how to implement previous learnings into future recommendations
  • Experience working cross-functionally internally and externally to help solve complex troubleshooting problems and drive key business results
  • Proven track record of driving value by forging a strong relationship with clients, understanding their objectives, and recommending best strategies using data
  • Effective at onboarding and managing a small team; ability to clearly communicate roles and responsibilities, holding your team accountable for results, and giving constant feedback
  • Comprehensive understanding of the digital marketplace, and broader understanding of the US media marketplace as a whole. Strong, foundational knowledge of DSPs, SSPs, ad servers, programmatic execution, verification partners, and data partnerships
  • Experienced working with senior stakeholders at the Brand and Advertiser level
  • Proven track record of using data to drive strategic initiatives
  • Advanced Excel User (Pivot Tables, Joining Data Sets, Complex Formulas, etc.)
  • Strong presentation skills and comfort presenting to senior stakeholders

The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions. Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full-time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year. At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is
$91,800 $168,300 USD
