Principal Network Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage highly scalable and secure network infrastructures for on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
  • Develop and implement network cloud architecture strategies for both Azure and AWS.
  • Utilize CI/CD tools like GitHub, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms to streamline deployment and manage infrastructure code.
  • Configure and maintain Palo Alto firewalls and Prisma to ensure robust network security.
  • Design and implement Cisco routing and switching solutions for optimal network performance and scalability.
  • Manage and optimize Meraki wireless networks for seamless user experience.
  • Automate network tasks and configurations using tools such as Ansible to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Lead and participate in network troubleshooting and problem resolution.
  • Conduct performance monitoring and identify opportunities for network optimization.
  • Develop and maintain network documentation and standard operating procedures.
  • Collaborate on network design and implementation that spans both cloud environments and on-premises infrastructure.
  • Mentor and guide junior network engineers in their professional development.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest networking technologies and trends.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of IT security policies.
  • Participate in the development and management of IT project budgets.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8+ years of experience as a Network Engineer with a proven track record of success in complex network environments.
  • Strong understanding of both cloud network architecture concepts (Azure, AWS) and on-premises networking.
  • Experience with automation tools such as Ansible is required.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like GitHub, Azure DevOps, or equivalent platforms.
  • In-depth knowledge of Palo Alto firewalls and Prisma configuration and management.
  • Extensive experience with Cisco routing and switching technologies (CCIE certification preferred).
  • Experience with Meraki wireless network management.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Leadership experience and the ability to mentor others.
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) a plus.
