Job Summary

The Department of Psychology is currently seeking Digital Course Assistants to assist with online sections of undergraduate Psychology courses that are NOT PSY 3211 or PSY 3215. Digital course assistants are assigned to online classes to provide support to the primary instructor.

Duties include:

  • Provide grading support to faculty teaching fully online undergraduate Psychology courses that are NOT PSY 3211 or PSY 3215. Grading will be done using a clear and objective answer key/rubric. Work will be required when grading is due for assignments/projects, so some weeks may be more demanding than others. All work is fully remote.
Minimum Qualifications

  • Prospective applicants should be current graduate students in a Psychology program (i.e. students enrolled in a MS Psychology program)
  • Knowledge of classroom subject.
  • Basic level of Microsoft Office Suites.
  • Ability to work independently as needed
  • Ability to provide direction to students.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with highly sensitive information.

  • Applicants must be currently enrolled as a student at FIU with a minimum of three (3) credits as a Graduate student during the Fall and Spring semesters.
  • During the Summer semesters, Students need only remain enrolled and are not required to take credit hours, but cannot have graduated.
  • Upon graduating, student employment must end.
Work Schedule

Student Digital Course Assistants may work up to 10 hours a week, with the understanding that some weeks in the semester may require less than 10 hours worth of work.

Advertised Salary

Student Digital Course Assistants for this position are paid a fixed contract amount of $1,400 which is paid out biweekly throughout the semester.
