About Ameren Missouri Ameren Missouri has been providing electric and gas service for more than 100 years, and our electric rates are among the lowest in the nation. Ameren Missouri's mission is to power the quality of life for our 1.2 million electric and 132,000 natural gas customers in central and eastern Missouri. Our service area covers 64 counties and more than 500 communities including the greater St. Louis area. About The Position: The Supervising Engineer Civil & Structural Design is responsible for leading a team of civil engineers for the successful development, engineering, and support of non-nuclear projects across Ameren Missouri. The Supervising Engineer oversees and supports the activities of project civil engineers, project managers, consultants, contractors, internal customers, and outside organizations. This role is responsible for oversight of civil & structural engineering activities across Ameren Missouri Customer & Power Operations. It is expected that such support and leadership oversight will be performed in a form that encourages all personnel to perform in a positive, highly effective manner, and at their highest level. Key Responsibilities Include:
Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university in Civil Engineering. Five or more years of relevant experience required. Professional Engineer (P.E.) License in Illinois and/or Missouri required. Relevant experience includes large-scale project management experience, project engineering and management experience, contractor management experience, etc. General understanding of energy center or utility operations and processes required. Knowledge and experience with engineering and project management processes and tools required. Team leadership or supervisory experience preferred. In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate: Proficient business skills in project planning, cost management and forecasting, procurement practices, and negotiations. Effective analysis and problem-solving capability evidenced with sound solutions. Effective team-building skills build productive relationships to achieve desired results. Decisive judgment and excellent communication skills at all levels. High expectations for project success and multi-tasking capabilities.
