Bachelor's degree in a related specialized area or field, or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.

The Senior Advanced Technical Writing Specialist is responsible for creating, planning, writing and editing complex operational, instructional, interactive electronic technical manuals (IETMs), maintenance or test procedures. This will entail documenting engineering processes and specifications by editing software developer and engineering staff's notes and procedures and applying formatting in order to support the writing and publication of hardware and software test procedures. Additionally, you'll work with junior writers providing feedback and critiquing work in order to help develop leadership skills, documentation skills and expertise with production tools and projects.

• A Bachelor's degree in a related specialized area or field, or equivalent plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
• Exceptional English language skills including accurate definitions and spelling of relevant technical words, rules of composition and grammar
• Strong written communication skills and the ability to tailor communication to target audience
• Strong working knowledge of DoD MIL Standards and style guides and the ability to adhere to and implement such standards to technical documentation

• Strives to grow expertise in the fundamentals of their job (e.g. production tools, projects, DoD MIL STD, IETMS, etc.)
• Ability to effectively lead and mentor a team through excellent people skills
• Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success
• Solid experience, using professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways

Target salary range: USD $107,709.60/Yr. - USD $116,545.20/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
