If you reside near New Albany, IN, you will enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid-remote role as you take on some tough challenges.

Location: 4101 Technology Ave, New Albany, IN 47150. This is a hybrid position with the expectation to come in office once per week.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Handle inbound and make outbound calls to schedule appointments for patients within American Health Network's primary care within the phone room
  • Enter information into patient charts and send tasks to clinical sites
  • Review and check patient insurance eligibility
  • Ensure patient confidentiality with the handling of all patient health information and medical records
  • Communicate all progress and issues with the call center management team
  • Scan and import documents into patient charts
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • 1+ years of experience working in a healthcare or customer service position
  • 1+ years of experience in a role requiring clear, positive, and cooperative verbal and written communication skills, as information will be entered into patient records
  • Access to a designated quiet workspace in your home (separated from non-workspace areas) with the ability to secure Protected Health Information (PHI)
  • Reside in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high - speed internet connection or leverage an existing high - speed internet service


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience working in a call center environment handling inbound and outbound calls
  • Experience with scheduling appointments
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • Medical records experience
  • Solid understanding of medical terminology

  • Ability to work independently and as a team, and maintain good judgment and accountability
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with health care providers
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks to meet all deadlines
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to speak clearly and concisely, conveying information in a manner that others can understand, as well as ability to understand and interpret information from others
