The Role:

Cognizant is looking for an expert and innovative AS400 Synon Developer to serve our diverse base of global clients. The role is encouraged to drive technology discussions and analyze the current landscape for gaps in addressing business needs. Cognizant needs a motivated individual to challenge the status quo and provide thought leadership/standard methodologies to improve our services and technologies.

Location: Phoenix, AZ | Remote

Experience: 5+ years

Responsibilities:

• Lead the technical design and development of applications using AS/400 RPG, AS400/COBOL, Synon, and CLP
• Coordinate the implementation of system improvements and new applications to meet business needs.
• Provide extensive technical knowledge in the Medicare and Medicaid Claims, Claims, and Payer domains.
• Collaborate with multi-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new systems.
• Implement enhancements as per Software Development methodologies including Analysis, Design, Coding, Unit Testing, Installation, Post implementation monitoring.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all technical processes and systems.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Implement the best practices for coding, testing, and deployment to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Conduct regular code reviews to maintain code quality and adherence to standards.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Manage and mentor junior developers to enhance their technical skills and project contributions.

Skills:

• 5+ years of Lead/Developer experience in AS400 + Synon.
• STRONG Synon coding skills.
• Experience in RxCLAIM application (Adjudication) is STRONGLY PREFERRED.
• Should be able to read COBOL/400 code for analysis and debugging.
• CLLE, CL/400, SQL/400, QUERY/400 knowledge required.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary is between $60,000 - $93,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
