The Role: Individual Contributor External Facing Role

Essential Functions:

• Lead the technical design and development of applications using AS/400 RPG, AS400/COBOL, Synon, and CLP
• Coordinate the implementation of system enhancements and new applications to meet business needs.
• Provide technical expertise in the Medicare and Medicaid Claims, Claims, and Payer domains.
• Work closely with teams across various functions to ensure seamless integration of new systems.
• Implement improvements following Software Development methodologies, including Analysis, Design, Coding, Unit Testing, Installation, and Post-implementation monitoring.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all technical processes and systems.
• Collaborate with collaborators to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Implement standard methodologies for coding, testing, and deployment to ensure high-quality work.
• Conduct regular code reviews to maintain code quality and consistency with standards.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Lead and mentor junior developers to enhance their technical skills and project contributions.

Required Technical Experience:

• Minimum 5+ years of Lead/Developer experience in AS400 + Synon
• STRONG Synon coding skills
• Experience in RxCLAIM application (Adjudication) is REQUIRED
• Should be able to read COBOL/400 code for analysis and debugging.
• CLLE, CL/400, SQL/400 , QUERY/400 knowledge required

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applicants will be accepted till December 9^th, 2024

The annual salary for this position is between $82,000 - $93,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
