Apogee is seeking a Senior Acquisition Analyst in support of Special Operations Forces Acquisition, Technology and Logistics' (SOF AT&L) Program Executive Office for SOF Rotary Wing (PEO-RW). PEO-RW provides the Army Special Operations Aviation Command and 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (SOAR) (Airborne) with the most advanced RW aircraft, mission equipment, and training systems available.

This is a full-time opportunity located at MacDill, AFB, FL.

What you will be doing:



  • Prepare SOW, PWS, SAMP, APB, FM worksheet, program protection plan, and annual spend plan build for assigned programs
  • Manage program cost, schedule, performance, and risks in accordance to policies and procedures; formulate proposed mitigations as necessary
  • Prepare reports and briefings on program status, policies and procedures, in support of acquisition program milestones
  • Interact with SOF aircrews to assist the PEO in understanding key user requirements and capability issues; participate in requirements development process in support of Government managers
  • Support/conduct portions of market research
  • Execute price and cost analysis sufficient to review proposals, actual and estimated expenditures, and established rates to determine price reasonableness or to determine a negotiation position; apply funding rules associated with the obligation of multiple types of appropriations
  • Support contracting negotiation, administration and termination principles, policies, procedures and technical requirements applicable to the full range of contracting actions for a variety of contract types
  • Keep program information current and organize data to submit to management for decision making
  • Routinely brief senior leaders within USSOCOM and the SOF enterprise on program status, issues, and recommended courses of action
  • Support cost/benefit analysis
  • Analyze effectiveness and efficiency of program; develop recommendations to improve program operations
  • Answer data calls and inquiries on program policies and procedures
  • Monitor programs to ensure compliance with policies and procedures
  • Research ways to eliminate program bottlenecks and barriers to production; support government counterparts in development of solutions to program issues
  • Maintain PEO-RW programmatic portfolio and perform records and file maintenance on file storage repositories


Experience:

Minimum Experience:
Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a Top Secret clearance with SCI Eligibility
Certifications: DAWIA Practitioner (formerly Level II) Equivalency in the Program Management, Engineering & Technical Management, or Test & Evaluation fields or ability to attain within 6 months of hire with approved customer deferral
Education: Bachelor's degree in an acquisition, business, or related field
Years of Experience: 10 years of DoD acquisition program management experience

  • Working knowledge of the Defense Acquisition System as directed by DoD Instruction 5000.02, "Operation of the Defense Acquisition System"
  • Working knowledge of project management/scheduling software applications such as MS Project
  • Experience with task management systems, proficient in building executive-level briefings, and able to apply acquisition experience to formulation and consolidation of official responses to taskers, RFIs, etc.

Preferred Experience:
Education and Experience: Master's degree in Business or Acquisition and 8 years of DoD acquisition program management experience



  • Five (5) years military helicopter pilot experience

  • Five (5) years of experience in intelligence gathering, analysis, and reporting
  • Broad understanding of PEO-RW aircraft mission equipment upgrades
  • Knowledge of SOF-unique acquisition processes is valued
