POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Communications Specialist manages the day-to-day operations of Dominium's communications channels and processes and participates in shaping the company's overall communications strategy while also leading internal and external editorial planning activities across multiple channels.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:



  • Partners with Communications Director and Communications colleagues in the development and execution of companywide communications strategy and editorial plans.
  • Write, edit, and co-create compelling copy tailored to a variety of internal and external audiences and channels.
  • Partners with Communications colleagues on the management and execution of all channels and campaigns.
  • Counsels cross-functional leaders and colleagues on effective communications approaches and messaging.
  • Participates in the development of new or improved company channels and media platforms such as the intranet, email, mobile and video.
  • Liaises with Public Affairs colleagues, external PR agencies and other agency partners as appropriate.
  • Additional duties as assigned by supervisor, including participation in the planning and execution of company events.


QUALIFICATIONS:



  • 4-year degree in corporate communications marketing, public relations or related field; at least two years experience in project management, editorial planning, drafting/editing and related communications activities
  • Knowledge of basic design principles and social media management preferred
  • Working knowledge of MS Office required; photo and video-editing software preferred
  • Outstanding organizational and planning skills
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Ability to understand internal and external audiences and channels
