AbouttheRole:

TheGuitarCenterislookingforaSeniorRetailApplicationsEngineerwithexpertiseinMultivalueandPickBasicsoftwareengineering anddeepexperienceofretail,omnichannelPOS,microservices,APIs,cloudtechnologies.

Responsibilities:

• Providesystemsdevelopmentlifecyclefunctions an analysis, architecture, design, softwaredevelopment(includingcoding,testing,documentation,andimplementation), and maintenance of both new and existing software applications.
• Providedatabasemanagementfunctions,andresponsiblefordataintegrityofalltherelevantdatabases.
• Responsiblefortracking/reportingoftimespentonprojectsortasksandcommunicatingthisinformationtosupervisor.
• Supportapplicationinterfacesto/fromAIXservers.
• Providementoring,leadershiptootherdevelopersandsupportstaffinprojectexecution.
• Provideon-callsupportfunctionsasneeded.
• Provideadditionalsupportfunctionsintermsofmonitoringcriticalapplicationprocesses,scheduleprocesses,anduserprocesses.
• Responsibleforself-managingdeliveryofassignedtasks.

Job Requirements:

• Experienceinarchitecture,design,developmentandsupportofUniverse/Pick/Multi-valueapplications.
• ExperienceindatabaseadministrationandsupportofUniverseorotherMulti-valuedatabases.
• WorkingexperienceinUNIX,AIX,LINUXoperatingsystemsenvironments.
• ExperienceinandknowledgeofAIX/UNIXbasiccommands.
• ExperienceinandknowledgeofRocketExternalDatabaseAccess(EDA)andRocketReplicationsubsystems.
• 2+yearsworkingexperienceusingUniObjects
• Proventrackrecordofprojectdeliveryandsolutionsdesigns.

PreferredExperience:

• 4+yearsexperienceworkinginRetailPOSsystems.
• KnowledgeofPaymentsysteminterfacesforcreditcardprocessing.
• Workingexperienceinprogramming,codinginsupportofPOSperipheralsandotherdevicessuchasprinters.
• Versedinmultipledevelopmentlanguagesispreferred.
• WorkingknowledgeofJava,C,C#isaplus.

Pay Rate:$100,000 - $150,000 / annually depending on background and experience.
