Benefits:

Salary:

$85,000 - $108,000

Summary

This role will focus on application and automation opportunities, as well as production support. The engineer will be responsible for supporting existing product lines and the development of new configurations necessary for customer needs. Projects will span from initial customer feedback through completion, testing and commissioning. Good communication is essential as this position will interact with many cross-functional team members. This is a very hands-on role, involving all phases of design, building, prototype, field testing, personnel training, and including floor support for operations.

Essential Functions

  • Support applications by providing automation concepts and concept drawings.
  • Prepare engineering models, assemblies, and drawings for customer projects.
  • Consult with Sales Engineers and Customers on project design.
  • Provides support for existing product lines in design activities and modification activities for production.
  • Conducts various engineering tasks/assignments and may assign work to technical drafting staff or associate engineers.
  • 10% - 20% domestic travel annually.
  • Ability to interface with vendors and customers.
  • Plan, schedule, implement and supervise work in progress and at completion for good workmanship and for conformance to instructions and best practices.
  • Participate in equipment Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT)
  • Break down projects into meaningful milestones and execute projects to schedule.
  • Maintains and updates all Job Safety Analysis (JSA) when required.
  • Work with other Senior Engineers to review form, fit and function of product designs by utilizing SolidWorks.
  • All other duties as required.

Position Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of applicable work experience in engineering, with a high degree of mechanical aptitude and experience in designing automated electro-mechanical machinery.
  • Engineering applications and automation background.
  • Proficient in SolidWorks.
  • Good mechanical aptitude with a hands-on approach using basic hand tools.
  • Product Data Management (PDM) experience a plus.
  • Assembly, disassembly, modification, and testing of equipment.
  • Experience with AutoCAD is a plus.
  • Ability to use measurement instruments, hardness tester, gauge pins, and optical comparator.
  • Able to interpret, understand, and follow federal, state, and local codes and statutes.
  • Experience with manufacturing methods and processes a plus
  • Project lead experience a plus
