Overview

Abacus Technology is seeking an IT Manager to provide technical guidance to a team of IT professionals as well as to act as the Deputy Program Manager for the Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC) at Arnold AFB. This is a full-time position.



Responsibilities

    Provide daily supervision, quality control, and oversight for the communications, network, and data center needs of the Test Center as well as the performance of 80+ IT professionals.
  • Monitor program status and resolve problems with minimal impact to operations performance.
  • Develop and provide network and project status reports to the government.
  • Organize, direct, and manage contract operation support functions, involving multiple, complex, and inter-related project tasks.
  • Manage teams of contract support personnel at multiple locations.
  • Maintain and manage the client interface at the senior levels of the client organization.
  • Meet with customer and contractor personnel to formulate and review task plans and deliverable items.
  • Ensure conformance with program task schedules and costs.


Qualifications

10+ years experience in a project or program management role with a strong technical background. Bachelor's degree in a related field. Must be Security+ certified (or other certification in compliance with DoD 8570 requirements for IAT Level II). Experience leading a technical team in an enterprise-level environment and comfortable providing direction and guidance to others. Experience in portfolio management and budgeting. Experience with DoD systems and military protocols preferred. Able to provide clear and concise directions to staff regarding project execution. Able to motivate and direct staff members and subordinates. Exceptional written and oral communication skills. Able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks. Must be a US citizen and hold a current Top Secret clearance.
