Job Description:
The Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) Program/Project Manager is responsible for the strategic direction, leadership, and execution of enterprise-wide project and program management processes. This role ensures that all projects are aligned with corporate strategy, governance standards are maintained, and resources are optimized across the organization. The EPMO Program/Project Manager will work closely with senior leadership to ensure project outcomes contribute to long-term business goals and drive operational efficiency. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- Strategic Leadership: Work closely with senior leadership to ensure projects are prioritized based on strategic value, risk, and resource capacity. Provide thought leadership on project management best practices and emerging trends in the field.
- Program and Project Management: Manage programs and projects ensuring successful delivery of high-priority initiatives. Monitor and control project and program execution to ensure they are on track in terms of scope, budget, and timeline. Implement program and project management tools to track performance metrics, risks, and resource allocation.
- Governance and Standardization: Adhere to enterprise-wide project management methodologies, frameworks, and processes. Including existing frameworks such as the Five-Phase Product Engineering Process and IT's System Development Lifecycle and the supporting Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid methodologies. Ensure consistent application of governance policies, risk management, and quality assurance across all projects and programs. Regularly evaluate and improve processes to increase efficiency, reduce risk, and enhance project outcomes.
- Resource Management: Lead resource planning and allocation across projects and programs to ensure optimal utilization. Resolve resource conflicts and ensure adequate staffing for high-priority projects.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Establish KPIs and performance metrics for monitoring the health of the programs and individual projects. Provide regular updates to the senior management and key stakeholders on project status, risks, and portfolio performance. Use data-driven insights to inform decisions and identify areas for continuous improvement.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Build and manage a team of Project managers. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Information Technology, Engineering or related field from an accredited 4 year university.
- 5-10 years experience in project management, with significant experience in leading and managing large-scale projects and programs.
- 3-5 years experience in a senior role within an EPMO, or similar role, with oversite of strategic direction or project management across an organization.
- Demonstrated success in managing programs and projects and driving project management maturity.
- Strong experience in managing relationships with senior leadership, business leaders, and other key stakeholders with the ability to influence decision-making and drive alignment across an organization.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Experience in manufacturing and sales industry.
