WHAT TO EXPECT
As an innovation leader, we look for ambitious, forward thinking, open-minded and well-rounded individuals to join our global team. Located in our Siloam Springs, AR plant, you will be a Mechanical/RCM (Reliability-Centered Maintenance) Engineer.
  • Reports directly to site Maintenance & Engineering Manager and Controls Supervisor and will provide technical support to specific production departments for equipment and designated projects. This role will guide activities that develop people, improve customer satisfaction, and implement innovative solutions to problems and/or process issues for manufacturing value streams
Key responsibilities (to name a few):
  • Facilitate scrap reduction efforts for assigned value stream(s).
  • Facilitate cost reduction efforts for assigned value stream(s)
  • Become SME (subject matter expert) for assigned processes in plant
  • Plans and organizes data collection and presents such as related to defect reduction and general Continuous Improvement.
  • Provide advisory support to maintenance in the areas of troubleshooting and diagnostic evaluation of production equipment.
  • Assist in the development of upgrade plans for existing equipment.
  • Assist in the design of work standards, quality control charts and systems and other elements of operational excellence to aid plant improvement
ABOUT YOU
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or 8 years equivalent experience
  • At least 3 years of specific problem solving experience and progressive responsibility in facilitating improvement initiatives in a manufacturing environment. Experience with rubber or plastic products desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to guide cross functional teams and implement projects through continuous improvement initiatives with hands-on application - engaging floor practitioner.
  • Strong computer, math, and statistics skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of automotive quality systems (APQP, PPAP, Gage R&R, Process Capability, Manufacturing Feasibility Studies)
  • Knowledge of assorted quality tools and standards (Gage R&R, Capability, PFD, PFMEA, PCP)
  • Knowledge of six sigma and project management
  • Understanding of Lean manufacturing concepts
  • Project management skills (Gantt Charts)
  • Experience using Simulation software (ARENA or others)
  • Intermediate to Advanced time and motion studies, capacity evaluation.
  • Must have experience in 2D layout design using CAD.
  • Must have experience in Minitab Statistical Software or similar.
  • Intermediate to Advanced MS Excel & Powerpoint user.
  • Data Driven Process Problem solving experience, ability to develop and maintain critical performance metrics for assigned value streams.
  • Ability to build credibility and trust within the organization.
  • Bring focus, purpose, and agility to motivate others to adapt quickly to changing business needs.
  • Orchestrate and prioritize multiple activities at once to accomplish Company goals.
  • Take the initiative to look for and take advantage of opportunities and take empowered actions and calculated risks.
  • Sufficient technical awareness to interface with manufacturing, maintenance, engineering (Design, Product and Materials Development) and management personnel.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

  • Full-Time

  • Eligible for 3 weeks of paid vacation + 11 holidays (9 scheduled & 2 floating) + 8 sick days. All vacation days are accrued
