Job Description

Position Description:
The Senior Manager of Health Care Donor Engagement is responsible for stewarding and engaging donors to the School of Medicine and MU Health Care, recognizing and connecting donors to the impact of their generosity. The successful candidate will be a central advancement Donor Relations team member, collaborating to create a consistent, world-class donor experience. This individual will work closely with the advancement teams in the School of Medicine and MU Health Care.

Key Responsibilities (percentage of time):

  • Collaborate with the School of Medicine, Health Care, and Advancement Donor Relations teams to develop, manage, and maintain comprehensive donor engagement plans for top-level donors. (75%)
  • Collaborate with Senior Manager for Health Advancement Events, providing input on the donor experience for events such as scholarship meetings/banquets, volunteer meetings/activities, capital project-specific events, and more. (10%)
  • Provide input on donors who should be recognized as part of school or University award recognition programs or volunteer opportunities. Help facilitate nominations and curated experiences for honorees. (15%)
  • Other duties as assigned that support our donor engagement efforts.

Additionally, the university climbed 13 spots to No. 86 among the Best Colleges for Veterans.

Mizzou Advancement emphasizes talent acquisition and professional development in service to its overall mission of enhancing private support of the University of Missouri. As a result, the division continues to attract top talent from around the country. Comprising 180 staff members with a presence across the United States and around the world, Mizzou Advancement announced the $1.3 billion Mizzou: Our Time to Lead campaign in October 2015. Shift

Monday thru Friday 8-5. Additional evening and weekend work may be needed.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Higher Education
  • Background in Health Care Advancement or Stewardship
  • Documented success in strategic planning and execution
Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000 annually

Grade: GGS-010
