Pay information



  • Pay Level: 023
  • FLSA Category: Exempt - Salaried
  • Individual pay will be based on skills, experience, qualifications, location, internal equity, and other relevant factors.

A day in the life

The Information Security Analyst performs assigned professional tasks at an experienced professional level. This position is responsible for overseeing and maintaining user access to IT and other systems within an organization. The role ensures that proper protocols are in place to authenticate and authorize users, thereby safeguarding critical information. This position involves implementing IAM policies, managing user roles, and ensuring compliance with security regulations. This role provides the division services to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information and technical environments and to support information security goals and objectives.

Your responsibilities will include:



  • Participates in corporate-wide information security project planning and documentation of divisional and corporate projects.
  • Assists with moderately complex internal and external audits. Supports processes for providing audit evidence including identification, collection and review of relevant data.
  • Reviews requests for adherence to security policies, assuring requests are executed correctly.
  • Defines, documents, reviews, and updates security related processes and procedures related to access management processes.
  • Ensures department policy, procedures and security best practices are monitored and reported following departmental and corporate security reporting requirements. Reviews threats and ensures proper security measures, reports and audit trails are in place to reduce risks.
  • Collaborates with different areas of the company to review and implement new system access and modify access based on systems changes.
  • Create access management processes related to Onboarding and Offboardng access for users.
  • Identify and resolve access-related issues, troubleshooting identity and access management systems.
  • Provide technical and phone support training for self-service portal applications.
  • Assists incident handling and with corrective action plans, audit findings and security issues, ensuring problems are resolved in an effective and timely manner.
  • Ensures customer requests are completed in adherence to Service Level Agreements.
  • Performs work under general supervision. Handles moderately complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.



What you need to succeed



  • A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
  • 3 years of information technology experience with specific experience in one or more areas of information and/or data security is required.
  • Analytical thinking skills in order to research, analyze and problem solve.
  • Be flexible and adaptable in different situations.
  • Have a good level of detail and accuracy when completing work.



Equivalent combination of education, experience or training determined to be acceptable by Human Resources may be substituted, unless regulated by contract or program standards

Job posting policy

Employees new to Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota are eligible to apply for positions within their assigned department after successfully completing 90-days in their role. For positions outside of their department, new employees should attain a minimum of six months of service before applying for a new role.
