Investor Relations Internship

Investor Relations is integral to educating external stakeholders on our story and financial results, as well as how we are building long-term value. This is an opportunity for a high-performing student to contribute to Meritage's investor relations and environmental, social and governance (ESG) practice. This internship will be a January 2025 start date, part-time basis during school.

The Investor Relations & ESG aspects you will do:

• Learn internal information and data gathering
• Opportunity to work with procurement, accounting and finance teams within Meritage Homes
• Exposure to investor relations and putting together financial binders with high profile exposure to the executive management team
• Research ESG best practices
• Work on earnings & board presentations
• Track peer earnings and news
• Complete ad-hoc projects and reports to support the VP of Investor Relations and the investor relations manager, as needed
• Work closely with internal business leaders to learn the homebuilding industry, the Meritage business model and an assigned functional area such as construction, land, marketing, operations, purchasing, finance, human resources, etc.
• Learn our core values and why they drive everything we do
• Translate classroom experience into practical application during the internship
• Participate in cross-functional projects involving other interns and business leaders centered around current business challenges
• Present real world business recommendations to senior leadership that can help drive our strategy
• Write a paper focusing on the experience or another assigned topic
