Position Summary The Director - Training & Development will lead and grow the Company's learning initiatives, including technical, sales, and leadership training programs as well as the Company's onboarding and apprenticeship programs. This role will develop, implement, and continuously improve training programs that support the Company's overall business objectives. This position will collaborate closely with leaders in Field Operations, IT, Commercial Sales and other departments to ensure learning strategies are aligned with business goals and drive Team Member engagement. Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive learning and development strategy aligned with the Company's overall business objectives.
- Lead the creation and execution of all training programs (including sales, technical, and leadership training), as well as the Company's onboarding and apprenticeship programs.
- Evaluate organizational learning needs and develop customized training programs that address the Company's current and future demands.
- Design and deliver leadership development programs to cultivate a strong pipeline of future leaders.
- Collaborate with HR and senior leadership to identify high-potential Team Members and create individualized development plans.
- Promote a culture of learning by encouraging development opportunities and career advancement.
- Ensure training programs address industry trends and regulatory requirements, keeping technical and sales teams up to date on best practices.
- Drive continuous improvement in training delivery to meet evolving business needs.
- Manage and optimize learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms to provide accessible, flexible learning opportunities.
- Stay current on learning and development trends, incorporating e-learning, microlearning, and blended learning approaches as needed.
- Utilize data analytics to track training effectiveness, identify skill gaps, and refine training programs based on measurable outcomes.
- Ensure all training initiatives are scalable and adaptable to different learner types.
- Facilitate and deliver engaging and interactive training sessions, workshops, and seminars for various levels of Team Members.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and external vendors to enhance content development and training delivery.
- Ensure all training aligns with the organization's values, culture, and objectives.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning by encouraging Team Members at all levels to pursue ongoing development opportunities.
- Act as a change leader, supporting Team Members through transitions related to new technologies, processes, or organizational changes.
- Conduct surveys and feedback sessions to gauge Team Member engagement and adapt training programs to address evolving needs.
- Manage the training and development budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources for maximum ROI.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of training initiatives, using data-driven insights to refine strategies.
- Act as a strategic advisor to senior leaders and other executives across the businesses.
- Manage direct reports on day-to-day activities including planning & allocating tasks as required in collaboration with senior leaders.
- Prepare materials for Senior Leadership and Board of Directors meetings.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, organizational development, education or a related field, or equivalent training required. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in learning and development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing multi-site training programs.
- Experience designing and implementing large-scale training programs, including technical, sales, and leadership training.
- Strong knowledge of learning technologies, including LMS platforms and e-learning tools.
- Proven track record of using data and analytics to measure training effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
- Experience in the automotive industry strongly preferred.
- Strong facilitation, coaching, and presentation skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.

- Experience with training department transformation preferred.
