Objective:

This position is responsible for managing company resources that transform goods and services into quality products that our customers value. This includes leading, coordinating and aligning operational resources around employee safety, product quality, order delivery, cycle time, operational productivity and efficiency, and material utilization to achieve company goals and objectives within and across the Value Streams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Promotes, drives, and champions safety culture and employee engagement to eliminate injuries.

  • Ensures manufacturing performance, volume and quality goals are met by utilizing efficient methods and maintaining appropriate staffing levels.

  • Drafts and designs quantitative and strategic action plans and metrics that support the overall improvement of our Quality, Delivery and Service levels.

  • Mentors and leads associates with a hands-on approach, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and accountability.

  • Supports, leads, coordinates, and integrates operational support groups to develop and integrate tactical, and strategic planning for site and company objectives.

  • Demonstrates strong formal problem-solving skills which drive root cause identification and permanent corrective actions on both internal and external defects.

  • Demonstrates a willingness to innovate and drives for continual improvement.

  • Develops, implements, and continuously optimizes training objectives, skill set building initiatives, schedules, and development metrics for subordinate positions.

  • Closely monitors capacity and capability within the value stream; able to proactively identify bottlenecks and resource gaps within steps in the manufacturing process.

  • Manages direct labor flexibility within the plant to support changing demands.

  • Sets performance objective goals for direct reports that are consistent with and in support of Plant objectives. Manages direct reports with emphasis on accountability and effectiveness.

  • Develops, implements, and continuously optimizes specific job cross training and labor shortage contingency plans within and across the value streams.

  • Utilizes data and established metrics to decisively identify opportunities to improve processes.

  • Presents information and data to all levels of the organization in a concise and effective manner.

  • Provides operational support to the plant's leadership teams, and operational support resource teams.

  • Leads change management and improvement initiatives in a manner that ensures employee engagement and understanding.

  • Ensure policies and procedures are well understood and adhered to by all employees.

  • Promotes, drives, and champions safety culture.

  • Other duties may be assigned or required for the performance of this position.

Knowledge & Experience (Minimum Job Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree in business or other job-related technical discipline.

  • Minimum 7 years' supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt a plus.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Strategy Deployment and LEAN principles.

  • Demonstrated ability to motivate, train and develop skill sets for manufacturing supervision, manufacturing technical resources, and manufacturing production associates.

  • Detailed oriented with strong organizational skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Strong and effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, sound judgement, and ability to effectively influence decision-making.

  • Demonstrates strong collaboration skills and communicates effectively at all levels in the organization.

  • Ability to make decisions in a timely manner.

  • Ability to work with great sense of urgency in a fast-paced organization with optimism.

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and Oracle (ERP), SPC Programs, etc.

  • Ability to travel between NH locations as needed.
