Responsibilities
  • Course Scheduling - Work closely with academic units to produce and update their portion of the Course Schedule following established policies and deadlines. Monitor and/or develop and initiate enrollment strategy plans as needed.
  • Course Curriculum Management - Work closely with academic units to update their portion of the Undergraduate and Graduate Catalog course inventory following established policies and deadlines. Assist with and monitor curriculum flags, core and area proposals submitted by academic units.
  • Institutional Reporting - Facilitate departmental compliance with various reporting systems, including FaSET, Syllabi/Faculty CV uploads, Course Evaluation requests, and final exam reporting. Analyze relevant reports from course and data management systems, recommending solutions where applicable.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED with 8 years relevant experience. Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal communication.Ability to draft reports and business correspondence.Ability to work well collaboratively and independently. Positive attitude and initiative applied in learning new tasks. Demonstrated ability to pay close attention to detail and to monitor a big picture overview at the same time. Professional demeanor, always exhibiting patience and collegiality. Ability to provide timely complex administrative skills with appropriate initiative and judgment. Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments to meet deadlines.Reliable and dependable attendance.Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word processing software.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with 4 years of Administrative Assistant experience. Experience working in an academic department or unit at UT Austin or similar experience at another university. Knowledge of UT policies and procedures.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Excel processing software.Knowledge of database or data visualization tools.

Salary Range

$50,000 + depending on qualifications
