Occup. Therapist, Klarman Eating Disorders

GENERAL SUMMARY/ OVERVIEW STATEMENT:

As a member of an interdisciplinary team, provides comprehensive Occupational Therapy services to patients.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Performs Occupational Therapy Services in a Community Residential Treatment Program.

Provides group and/or individual therapy to clients as needed. Interventions should be structured appropriately to the specific clientele being served.

* Evaluate patients according to established Occupational Therapy guidelines appropriate to patient's diagnosis and age. Interpret evaluation results and accurately identify problem areas.

* Plan and prioritize therapy program. Establish realistic, comprehensive goals based on completed evaluations and patient stated goals.

* Administer selected treatment techniques; evaluate effectiveness of treatment and modify approach accordingly.

* Record and complete all required written evaluations, progress notes, and supplementary forms according to established guidelines.

* Present oral and written information clearly and accurately, following established guidelines and using appropriate channels.

* Demonstrate commitment to professional growth through participation in continuing education opportunities and membership in professional organizations.

* Establish priorities and organize daily schedule so that job responsibilities are completed within reasonable time frame.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Graduation from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy with a Bachelor's degree. Must be licensed by the state of Massachusetts in Occupational Therapy
