Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in AWS React JS Java JavaScript CSS HTML and J2EE along with domain expertise in Cards & Payments. This hybrid role requires working during the day shift with no travel required.

You must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Location: Richmond - VA

*Candidate is required to be in the office 2 to 3 days a week*

Roles and Responsibilities:

* Design and develop scalable and robust architecture solutions for complex applications in the Cards & Payments domain.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design and ship new features.

* Ensure the performance quality and responsiveness of applications.

* Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.

* Maintain code quality organization and automation.

* Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.

* Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.

* Develop and implement strategies to improve the overall architecture and performance of applications.

* Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the architecture remains current and effective.

* Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

* Ensure that all solutions are aligned with the company's goals and objectives.

* Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all architectural decisions and implementations.

* Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle from concept and design to testing and deployment.

Required Qualifications:

* Possess strong technical skills in AWS React JS Java JavaScript CSS HTML and J2EE.

* Have domain expertise in Cards & Payments.

* Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

* Exhibit strong communication and collaboration skills.

* Show proficiency in designing scalable and robust architecture solutions.

* Have experience in conducting code reviews and providing technical mentorship.

* Be capable of translating business requirements into technical solutions.

* Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.

* Maintain comprehensive documentation for architectural decisions and implementations.

* Work effectively in a hybrid work model with a day shift schedule.

* Ensure the performance quality and responsiveness of applications.

* Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.

* Develop and implement strategies to improve the overall architecture and performance of applications.

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until 1/10/2025.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
