Sr. Automation Test Engineer (Onsite)

Onsite Location: Plano, TX.

• Strong hands-on experience in API BDD Automation Framework (using Rest Assured, Java, Cucumber, Postman, Ready API etc.)
• Strong hands-on experience with Spring boot
• Strong hands-on experience in UI BDD Automation Framework using Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber & TestNG.
• Good hands-on of SQL and able to write DB queries, exposure to Agile, JIRA & XRay
• Strong communication skills
• Strong coding skills / ability to write code hands-on during client interview

Note: Core automation/coding experience is must as the role is 100% automation hands on

1. Automation Framework Development

• Build and develop scalable automation frameworks using tools like Cucumber (BDD) and Rest Assured and Springboot.
• Implement test automation for APIs, integrating it into the CI/CD pipeline using Jenkins.

2. Test Planning & Strategy

• Define comprehensive test strategies aligned with project goals.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA team members to understand requirements and develop effective test plans.

3. Test Automation Execution

• Write reusable and maintainable test scripts for API, UI, and integration testing.
• Complete automated test cases, supervise results, and debug failures.

4. Continuous Integration & Deployment

• Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
• Ensure automated tests are run for every build or release cycle.

5. Defect Tracking and Reporting

• Identify, log, and track defects using tools like JIRA.
• Provide detailed analysis and reports of test execution and defects.

6. Code and Process Review

• Review code for automation scripts to maintain quality and alignment with standards.
• Suggest process improvements for continuous testing efficiency.

7. Mentorship and Leadership

• Guide junior QA engineers in automation practices and tools.
• Encourage the use of standard processes for automation within the team.

8. Tools Management

• Manage and optimize the use of tools like Rest Assured (for API testing), Cucumber (for BDD testing), and Jenkins (for CI/CD automation).
• Stay updated with emerging trends and tools in automation testing.

9. Documentation

• Build and maintain documentation for automation frameworks, test cases, and procedures.
