Contech Engineered Solutions is seeking a Scheduler/Expediter to ensure efficient and safe load designs, inventory control, and inter-plant coordination, while reporting to the Plant Manager.

About the role:



  • Loading Schedules: Plan daily loading schedules for trucks, with a focus on designing efficient flatbed loads that meet Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and safety standards.
  • Carrier Procurement: Obtain the lowest cost when procuring outside carriers for shipping. Create load sheets for Quality Control (QC) and Material Handlers.
  • Customer Coordination: Coordinate deliveries directly with customers and notify them upon the completion of customer pickup orders. Expediate when necessary to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure the accuracy of inventory levels, including raw materials, to meet customer needs while aligning with the company's inventory goals.
  • Reporting: Prepare various inventory and production reports as required.
  • Inter-plant Coordination: Correspond with other Contech plants regarding the transfer of materials between plants and yards.
  • Assist Plant Manager: Support the Plant Manager in daily and monthly tasks, including safety standards, physical inventory, and the monitoring of organization policies and procedures.
  • Software Proficiency: Utilize multiple software systems, including ERP software, MS Office, etc. to perform job responsibilities.
  • Raw Material Management: Manage raw materials for work orders as needed.


Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or GED. A 2-year Associates Degree is preferred.
  • 1 year of scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong critical thinking and mathematical skills.
  • Basic Computer skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication skills and extensive customer service expertise.
  • A broad knowledge of loading and shipping procedures, production schedules, plant products, inventory control, and the ability to read ship drawings.
