Financial Systems Manager

US Army Electronic Proving Ground

Primary Responsibilities

THIS POSITION WILL BE ON SITE AT FORT HUACHUCA, AZ

The financial systems manager is expected to provide analytical support regarding complex financial systems utilized by the support contractor at the US Army Electronic Proving Ground. Performs complex financial administrative reporting for assigned test activities and related overhead costs to closely monitor all cost. Conducts cost, schedule, contract performance, variance and risk analysis and provides the appropriate reporting as required. Project performance metrics in coordination with their command civilian counterparts in resource management and other senior staff. Participates in the development of cost control processes, systems and forecasting techniques to evaluate contract/program status ensuring compliance with government and customer requirements. Identifies schedule anomalies, trends, and workload shortfalls.

Leadership and Team Management

Leading and motivating a team to achieve goals, fostering collaboration, addressing conflicts, and creating a positive work environment. Coordinates the overall workload and team coverage aspects of daily operations in the program business office in conjunction with the business office lead to assure continuing coverage for all business office general operations.

Performance Oversight

Monitoring employee productivity, evaluating performance against set standards, providing regular feedback, and identifying areas for improvement.

Training and Development

Onboarding new employees, providing ongoing training, and identifying opportunities for employee growth

Communication and Reporting

Relaying information between management and team members, providing updates on performance metrics, and addressing employee concerns

Education and Certifications

Bachelor's Degree in Finance and or Accounting required. With post graduate MBA preferred.

Security Clearance:

Currently hold or be able to obtain and maintain the proper US DoD issued security clearance, which requires US Citizenship..
