Position Purpose: This position will lead packaging development, cost savings, and base business continuity projects. Responsibilities include package/material development, project assignments and cost optimization, with guidance from and interaction with other packaging personnel and cross functional team members. This position reports to the Director of Packaging R&D. The role requires strong priority setting skills and attention to detail combined with the ability to interface with the technical community, project managers and external suppliers. What To Expect as a Packaging Co-Op: The Lindt & Sprungli Co-Op experience is designed to provide students with the best tools and opportunities to become a successful packaging engineer. The co-op program allows the students to take a leadership role within Packaging R&D team by being assigned to specific parts of big strategic projects. Project management, packaging structural design, packaging material trial coordination, and technology scouting are a few of the responsibilities the student will encounter. The Lindt & Sprungli Co-op is designed to offer a real-world experience for the students. This will include day-to-day business tasks working closely with Operations, Marketing, Finance, Procurement, Logistics and others. One benefit to Lindt & Sprungli co-op is having a manufacturing facility on site. The students will have easy access to operations and production and will be able to see real-time packaging automation. Being a part of a collaborative global team, the student gets an opportunity to interact and learn from various colleagues in North America and Europe on a regular basis.
